Industrial Automation Infrastructure

Journey & Philosophy

“A village boy from Hainan who traveled far and wide, drifted to America, and finally settled in Utah—what a life full of stories. In my youth, I packed my bags for Guangzhou to study material science and engineering. Impulsively braving the freezing North, I entered the kiln design industry. Driven by a passion for computers, I picked up IT skills on my own and returned to my home island, honing my craft to become a networking expert. Through study, work, and daily life, my footprints spanned six or seven provinces. In my early years, I studied abroad in the UK, and in mid-life, I pursued a graduate degree in the US. Balancing engineering and the liberal arts, I mastered my various crafts entirely self-taught. I tossed aside my title as a computer expert and picked up an automation rice bowl that turned out far sweeter. Kiln design, computers, and industrial automation—three distinct domains, each lasting for a season before moving to the next. I’ve worn many labels along the way: research institute engineer, self-employed entrepreneur, government bureaucrat, and technical specialist for Chinese, French, and American global corporation. Life has been nothing short of extraordinary; it has truly been a journey well-lived.”

Tri-Domain Integration: Bridging mechanical engineering design, multi-vendor PLC/SCADA automation, and robust computer/network infrastructure into unified architectures.

Bridor North America Jan 2026 - Present

Senior PLC / Controls Specialist: Sole controls specialist for Bridor’s new Salt Lake City facility. Established the entire automation foundation during construction and commissioning across Siemens (TIA Portal, S7-1500, Profinet) and Beckhoff (TwinCAT 3, EtherCAT) ecosystems from scratch, while supporting Rockwell. Providing system-level support across mechanical, electrical, software, and network layers with minimal vendor dependency.
